Frédéric Mugnier has lived several lives in one, and he certainly isn’t going to stop there! After working first as an Oil Rig engineer and then as an airliner pilot, he finally decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and take over the domaine.
His philosophy lies in one word: pleasure. This is what he wishes to convey in his wines. He does not seek extraction, colour or other technical factors, but simply wants to give pleasure!
He succeeds beautifully, and his wines undoubtedly possess the Burgundy charm and sensuality.
MUGNIER’s syrups were very famous at the beginning of the 20th century, abroad as well as in France.
When they sold the firm, MUGNIER’s family acquired some vineyards in CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY, NUITS ST GEORGES 1er cru “Clos de la Maréchale” (9 Hectares Monopoly), CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY 1er cru “les Fuées”, CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY 1er cru “les Amoureuses”, BONNES MARES and MUSIGNY!
The wines from this domaine are now world-renowned – and with good reason! MUGNIER will only continue to flourish in the years to come…
