Emmanuel ROUGET Domaine
He is the late Henri JAYER’s nephew, who taught Rouget everything he knew when he retired as a winemaker and Rouget took over his vineyards. Of the great terroirs that he manages – including the famous CROS PARENTOUX – he has known exactly how to produce wines with finesse, bringing out the fruit, softness and smoothness.
He doesn’t enjoy being in the spotlight so Emmanuel ROUGET lets his wines speak for him, and they sing us a rich and melodious tune… Shy, but a wonderfully kind man once the ice is broken, Emmanuel has a harmonious family life. His two sons support him and share his passion!
3 village appellations, 2 premier crus, and one grand cru…
SAVIGNY les Beaune, NUITS ST GEORGES and VOSNE ROMANEE are superb wines that embody the divine qualities of the wines produced in this domaine.
With the VOSNE 1er cru “Beaux Monts”, and even more with the VOSNE 1er cru “Cros Parentoux” (whose vines are exclusive to ROUGET and MEO CAMUZET), the aromas are very flamboyant!
At last, to top it all off, the ECHEZEAUX is the only grand cru of the domaine, since the CROS PARENTOUX had never been exploited alone at the time when Burgundian appellations have been created (today this one would undoubtedly be classified grand cru).
