Louis-Michel LIGER-BELAIR has held this maxim close to his heart. It is by no means easy to revive a domaine with such a prestigious past, but LIGER-BELAIR has a tenacious character, is incredibly strong-willed and is highly intelligent. Within a few years, he has climbed the hierarchy of the greatest Burgundy wines, and has successfully restored LA ROMANÉE’s excellent reputation.

Pleasure and refinement are the magic words that guide this domaine, and for me the result is truly exceptional.

From the first vintage in 2000, it has been easy to see Louis-Michel LIGER BELAIR’s undeniable gift for vinification. He is destined for a brilliant future, and he is undoubtedly one of Burgundy’s most promising winemakers!

VOSNE ROMANEE “la Colombière” , VOSNE ROMANEE “Clos du Château” (Monopole), NUITS ST GEORGES “les lavières” are the village appellations.

NUITS ST GEORGES 1er cru “Aux Cras”, VOSNE ROMANEE 1er cru “les Chaumes”, VOSNE ROMANEE 1er cru “les Petits Monts”, VOSNE ROMANEE 1er cru “Aux Suchots” and VOSNE ROMANEE 1er cru “Aux Reignots” are the premiers crus.

ECHEZEAUX et LA ROMANEE are the grands crus.
