Clos de Tart Domaine
This grand cru from La Maison MOMMESSIN has been revived since being managed by the extremely talented and intelligent man that is Sylvain PITIOT.
In only a few years, this grand cru has soared to a higher level than he could have ever imagined! Pitiot meticulously selected only certain sections of the 7.5 hectares to work with, produced a carefully considered blend of these different soils, and voilà! The result is absolutely extraordinary…
Only two wines are produced here. The FORGE DE TART is made from the vines that are not used in the production of the first wine – the CLOS DE TART.
This last wine’s capacity for ageing shows off the incredible subtleties and finesse of this beautiful terroir.
The mosaic of soils which makes up this domaine, an estate which has not changed since the Middle Ages, allows for the most beautiful variations – when someone knows how to use them!
